Be Lucky

Luck over time is inevitable, though. If you show up with good work and generous action, again and again, sooner or later something that appears to others to be luck will appear. Because luck over time is a symptom of productive contributions. It rarely happens when you need it most, it rarely happens in equal proportion to what feels fair (to you or others), but it happens. The trap is hoping that a short-term focus on luck on demand will pay off for example in cases of betting.

Many define luck as an event brought by chance rather than action. Wikipedia’s description of Luck is the phenomenon that defines the experience of notably positive, negative, or improbable events. The naturalistic interpretation is that positive and negative events happen all the time in human lives, both due to random and non-random natural and artificial processes and that even improbable events can happen by random chance.

I think luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. Luck is an actual ‘thing’ but it often happens when you have prepared for a thing so when an opportunity that aligns with what you’ve prepared for, you can seize the opportunity easily. The act of preparedness, in this case, may vary greatly from just aligning to the thing in mind, to actual work, lots of effort, hours and investment put towards the attainment of a certain goal. Then there’s the feeling of lucky that brings luck. A good example of luck would be in bets. Many people bet randomly hoping to get lucky and win a jackpot, they pray and some believe and act in faith. To some extent that can be qualified as effort and there’s a slight probability of luck but there can be another person who’s placed the bet but he studied the bet. If it’s a card game probably they know all they need to know about cards if it’s a random bet on numbers probably they have mastered the law of averages hence have a higher probability of winning.

You can affirm luck in your life and prepare for it by effort that aligns with the thing desired, then be open to receive. Expect a surprise or better, invoke the law of surprises. Expect signs of luck like a four-leaf clover, a ladybird or lady luck cross your path once in a while, feel lucky. You can also recite abundance affirmations. Some good affirmations that go well with luck or positive expectancy are “I am wide awake to my good, I never miss a trick” or “something good is about to happen”. Have a lucky day.
