Youth – Poem

Life is beautiful, with so many choices
Life is easy, no responsibilities
Life is young, I’ll be 20 for life

Life is harsh, no jobs post-graduation
Life is unfair, loans pilling
Life is fast, soon I’ll be 30

Life has its surprises; things will work out soon
Life is abundant if you learn where to look
Life is learning, I look forward to 40

Life is gratitude, I’m grateful for my family
Life is a stairway, all the steps I took mattered
Life is young, ages like fine wine, I’ll be 20 for life

  1. Your poem reminded me of a song ‘Cats in the cradle ‘ by Harry Chapin. about the different stages of life and how it can go so fast. At least that is how I saw it. Beautiful poetry. Thank you. Sending you lots of love ❤️

  2. I absolutely love this. You sure are a talented poet, Keven 🙂
This feels like the modern version of “The Seven Ages” by Shakespeare.

    1. Thank you for the kind complement 🙂

Hadn’t heard of the 7 stages, I’ve looked it up. It’s great, thanks for the share.
