“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” Albert Einstein
In life, we experience many struggles, obstacles on our life’s journeys. Our success often has direct correlations to our perseverance while on the journey. I have realized that a change of mindset in the way we view the problems in our lives has a lot of impact on the quality of the journey and extent of our success. We should learn to look for opportunities hidden in the obstacles, choose to move past pain and regrets, only focusing on the end goal by making progressive gradual steps however small they may seem. Knowing that the journey is an end in itself. Doing what’s right makes the journey more fulfilling, learning to practice patience through persistence makes the reward more worthwhile.
There’s a story told of the old days about a King who had his men put a huge rock on some road and then he watched hidden from the road with intentions to see people’s reactions and if anyone would try to remove the rock out of the way. Some of the kings’ wealthiest merchants with capability passed by but simply walked around it. Many blamed the King for not keeping the road clear, but none of them did anything about trying to move the rock. One day, a peasant came along carrying vegetables. Upon approaching the rock, the peasant put down his luggage and tried to push away the rock out of the way. After much pushing and straining, he finally managed. Happy and content, he went back to pick up his baggage, as he picked up the vegetables, he noticed a purse lying where the rock had been and in it many gold coins with a note from the King explaining that the gold coins were for anyone who removed the rock from the road.
“Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don’t recognize them.” Ann Landers
In life, every obstacle we come across presents us with an opportunity. Opportunity to improve our circumstances. While the lazy complain, others will create opportunities through their kind hearts, generosity, and willingness to get things done. See every problem as an opportunity and a chance to become better and to grow.

Welcome Precious. A reminder is always good to help us keep pushing.
This has reminded me of the rocks that I always try to push out of my way. Even though they seem hard and undoable, and I lose hope sometimes, I will not tire pushing.
Keep pushing Judy, sometimes the path may take longer than expected to clear, but it clears – eventually.

This reminds me the story of ‘ THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE.’ the story of the king and the rock is interesting which ‘MOTIVATES’ people to view matter in the right perspective. Many of us have lost beautiful opportunities because of shear laziness.Such people are about 80% in this world including myself.
I like your observation. True, many of us fall in this category and it’s up to us to put the effort by taking action steps that will ensure we achieve our goals
