Bitcoin will be used by the whole world – Bitcoin Magazine

This is an opinion editorial by Nesrine Aissani, co-founder of the Zonebitcoin blog.

I was born in the 80’s in an African country with a “non-convertible” currency. I think that forever marked the way I thought about “currency” and felt it was unfair. This became more and more evident when I discovered Bitcoin and used it as a medium of exchange.

I will try to explain what I mean here.

A non-convertible currency is a currency that cannot be exchanged in the international currency market. Outside the country, this currency has no value – it can also be called locked money. For example, the Indian rupee is a semi-inconvertible currency outside of India, while the dollar is convertible in all countries around the world.
