Tech mogul and Twitter CEO Elon Musk blasted “mainstream Democratic politicians” on Tuesday for “coordinated” attacks against him.
Twitter user Jason Debolt provoked a response by pointing out how Democratic politicians have recently come out against Musk. He noted that Musk did not participate in political debates before these interactions.
“Elon Bernie Sanders wasn’t a super politician on Twitter until Elizabeth Warren started attacking him for no reason. Then others followed. Of all the friends they could attack, they chose the guy who could help the government solve problems. Strange choice,” Debolt wrote.
Musk responded to the tweet by acknowledging and suggesting that these Democratic figures are merely “actors on the political stage.”
Many on the left are sounding the alarm about Elon Musk taking over Twitter.

“Several other major Democratic politicians attacked me at the same time. It was coordinated. Other than party leadership and independents like Manchin, they are essentially actors on the political stage, not directors or screenwriters,” Musk wrote on his Twitter account.
Over the years, Musk has clashed with Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on taxes and spending. and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. and once memorably referred to Warren as “Senator Karen.”
Recently, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., attacked Musk for his plan to charge Twitter users $8 a month for the blue check mark on their accounts. Musk responded by mocking Ocasio-Cortez, pointing out that her website sells a sweatshirt for about $60.
Musk also responded favorably to a meme attacking the Democratic Party for ignoring scandals such as sharing user data with the Chinese Communist Party in favor of an investigation into the Biden family’s dealings with China and Ukraine and its legal purchase of the social media company TikTok.

Several Democratic senators threatened investigations and government intervention on Twitter after his purchase. On Nov. 1, Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., called on the Biden administration to investigate Musk’s purchase, suggesting the site may have been influenced by Saudi Arabia. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., threatened Musk with regulation for not responding to a letter about Twitter’s vetting process.
Musk shot down those efforts with a mocking tweet attacking his lack of interest in cryptocurrency giant FTX, which filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 18 after losing $1 billion.

Several Twitter users agreed with Musk’s comments about the Democrats’ attacks and coordination.
Tech entrepreneur Gurbaksh Chahal said Musk was “ripping the Democrats @TheDemocrats a new one.”
“I really wonder why they started attacking you because electric cars wouldn’t be mainstream if it weren’t for you and Tesla. You’ve been an ally of the Democratic Party. And when you resist them attacking you, they’re painting. Nonsense,” Teslarati senior writer Jonna Crider tweeted.
“It’s true. They’re going to attack him more tomorrow for saying this,” wrote outspoken singer Philip Labonte.
“Coordinated propaganda campaigns have been designed for years by the media, Big Tech, political and corporate interests,” said investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson.
“Good lord, this guy is a real disruptor,” said sports journalist Jason Whitlock.

Nevertheless, some left-leaning social media users continued to attack Musk over his comments.
Condé Nast legal affairs editor Luke Zaleski wrote: “You’re just another Trump. It’s so boring.”
Vanity Fair reporter Molly Jong-Fast tweeted, “So your values are based on who treats you well?”
MSNBC columnist Eric, “Manchin is one of the biggest proponents of taxing the hell out of billionaires on Hill. He just doesn’t like to make it unacceptable. His main beef is making sure it goes to earned income, not unrealized gains.” Michael Garcia wrote.
“None of that is true. What it shows is your naivety about politics,” said author Jeff Nesbit.
