Each of the six episodes commemorates the most iconic races in the country, including the Life Time Garmin UNBOUND Gravel and Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Craft Sportswear. The finale of the documentaries features the Life Time Big Sugar Gravel presented by Mazda.

The series was filmed by an award-winning production company.

and conceptualized by the director and company founder,

“When Life Time first approached me with the opportunity to create this documentary, I was inspired by the Formula 1 Netflix series Drive to Survive. The idea was to focus more on the characters and glorify the racing/championship aspect a little less,” said Vandivier. “We’ve found that most of the athletes are there because they want to be ambassadors, to inspire others to get outside and to use the bike as a vector to get more people outdoors. That’s really the hallmark of one of these athletes. They’re getting paid to race, but equally they are there to represent their sponsors and be ambassadors. We wanted to find out why they do the things they do and what it takes emotionally and physically.”
When asked about the process of making this documentary, Vandivier said, “As a filmmaker, it’s a complex process. Over the past year, we’ve had an average of seven people participate in each race, and we’ve put a lot of time, effort, and creativity into this project. I’m proud of the team and I want to celebrate them because they were able to bring this vision to life. Whether you’re a dedicated cyclist, a weekend warrior, or just want to be inspired in your own life, the series will entertain everyone.”
The format of the series flips back and forth, with the first (Sea Otter Classic) and last (Big Sugar Gravel) episodes highlighting both women’s and men’s races, the second event (Unbound Gravel) highlighting the men’s race, the third event (The Tushar Breaker) highlighting the women’s race, and so on.
“The main goal of creating the Life Time Grand Prix was to create a fandom around it

cycling scene. The

It aims to showcase the people who exemplify this scene by profiling their personalities and unique and relatable stories on and off the bike. We are truly grateful to the many athletes who have given their time to bring this wonderful story to life during the 2022 season, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world,” he said.
