Review week, week ahead for November 11: Inflation, rally

Markets closed the week higher after Thursday’s spectacular rally that saw Big Tech stocks rise amid weaker-than-expected consumer price index (CPI) data for October. The S&P 500 ended the week up more than 5% for its best week since June. Bond yields and the U.S. dollar fell as investors hoped the CPI news would slow the pace of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike next month.
